Every time a visitor to your site clicks on a text-based ad on one of your content pages they are referred to a website. They leave your website and go to another website. You are then paid for this referral. Depending on the niche you can be paid a few cents per click, or several dollars. There are extremely competitive niches that can generate $50 to $100 per click in revenue.

Google Adsense is a really easy way to generate a passive income on a content blog. Even if you only generate $10 to $20 dollars a day it will ad up to hundreds of dollars quickly.  If you like writing then AdSense would be the affiliate program for you. Keep in mind that if you want to make a serious income out of this you’ll need to discover a niche that pays out dollars rather than cents per click and a site design that will generate a high click through rate. This where doing plenty of niche research is important.

Clickbank is the largest affiliate market place to promote down-loadable digital products. Google Sniper will teach you how to find great affiliate offers, build a 4 to 6 page blog around a specific high converting keyword, pre-sell products and make commissions through Clickbank. Cost Per Acquisition

Cost Per Action (or CPA), is an advertising system where a merchant only pays affiliates whenever a visitor to the website completes a particular action. This could include completing a survey, signing up for newsletter, downloading a discount coupon, ordering a free trail of a product or making a sale.

The advantage for the merchant is they only pay affiliates for a completed action rather than traffic. The advantage for the affiliate is the payouts are usually very good. Affiliates need to refer very qualified traffic to generate acquisitions so that they receive commissions. If you are a beginner to affiliate marketing I wouldn’t recommend that you take CPA niche marketing. You’ll need a very strong understand of Interne marketing to succeed.
